Treatment for Fatigue

A person with fatigue will benefit from neurological physiotherapy treatment. Neurological physiotherapy will involve:
  • Pacing strategies - Learning the correct level of activity and knowing when to rest and when to keep going despite pain. It is also involves learning to listen to what your body is telling you and do the exercises that make your symptoms better and avoid those that make it worse.

  • Graduated exercise programme - Taking into account pacing strategies and tailoring it to your individual symptoms.
Your treatment program will be based on your current symptoms and will be modified over time as your symptoms change. Physiotherapy treatment will support and advise you throughout your rehabilitation programme and give you tips on how to self management fatigue at home. Treatment will help you regain your previous level of function and well-being and improve your quality of life.
